Dusty Klein, pastor at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, noticed that a lot of teens he knew had no life plan, and seem unequipped to live a productive life after graduation from high school. In January 2021, he and a couple helpers began working on the first What's Next Conference, which ran on June 12, 2021. The team now plans on making the conferences an annual event.
